Johann Philipp Klammsteiner is a graphic designer and graffiti artist born in Bolzano. At the age of
14 he discovered the underground scene of graffiti and skateboarding. These two subcultures will be decisive for his future. Already at the age of 17 he discovered his passion for graphic design, which eventually developed into his profession.
His career has been built on a wide range of knowledge. He was particularly influenced by the founding of his own skateboard brand and his work experience as a graphic designer in various studios. At the age of 27, he decided to begin his studies at the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano, which he successfully completed.

Today he is the proud owner of his own graphic design studio, where he lives out his dream as an independent creative ambassador.

Combinations of illustration and graphics distinguish his work from other studios. This way of working he also takes over when creating his artworks, whereby he likes to merge graphics with graffiti and street art. His graphic skills still come from the old school. Strictly speaking, at the end of the eighties/beginning of the nineties, which he has preserved until today. In his studio you can still find utensils like a light table, which are still operative. He prefers graphic handwork, but also combines this analogue with the digital and thus gets his own style. When observing his artworks, one immediately recognizes the contrast between traditional and subculture, but he skilfully combines these two controversies. This polarity is above all one of the guidelines reflected in his works. With a lightness, he occasionally depicts this contrast in his works in an ironic manner.
